Cross-cultural interaction can benefit the lives of both students and teachers alike. I am interested in finding a position teaching English as a second language with adults or young adults.
The teacher should be someone that caters to the needs of the students and teaches ideas and theories with information relevant to the studentsâ needs and based on what each student is trying to take from the class.
I have worked with students from many different cultural, economic and social backgrounds in a variety of age groups. I have also been an instructor in a variety of different settings from the classroom to the field and believe that no matter if it is students, players, friends, family or co-workers I am always willing to pass on my knowledge and love the knowledge that I receive in return.
The enclosed resume and other documents provide an outline of my education and experience. I am looking forward to experiencing a new culture, a new setting and a new adventure with students that are interested in learning English.

Work Experience:
- 2005-2007 Teacher Assistant
- ï§ Worked in the classroom with adolescent juveniles on probation and below grade level, many of them with English as their second language. Duties included grading, one on one tutoring, teaching large and small groups in absence of the teacher and collaborating on strategies in the classroom.
- 2004-2005 Lead Camp Counselor and Recreation Center Attendant
- ï§ Supervised summer camp groups of up to 40 children which range in age from 8-13 years. Summer camp was in a neighborhood with many English as second language learners. Lead instructor in field and gym sports. Duties included following a set time based schedule of activities, setting up the schedules for the facility, training new counselors and creating the employee shift schedules.
- ï§ Supervised play activities for children under the age of 5 years.
- 2002-2004 Kindergarten Tutor
- ï§ Focused on non-English speaking students with teaching them to read and write in English along with gaining Math skills in one on one situations and small groups.
